A donor-advised fund study presented by Stanford Law Policy Lab*
During Stanford University’s winter quarter 2020, law professors, Paul Brest and Joseph Bankman and University of Chicago visiting professor, Daniel Hemel led a policy lab to analyze issues surfacing across the nonprofit sector and within policy-making circles with respect to donor-advised funds. Stanford’s policy labs are essentially research seminars designed to undertake policy analysis, not advocacy on important issues. On May 14, 2020, the students, who were drawn from across the university, presented the results of their study across six topics.
